What does a full boiler service include? Not only will pipework and seals be examined for leaks but the pressure will be checked and the boiler flue will be inspected for safety. Other item inspections include the burner and heat exchanger as they will need cleaning if any dirt generated from the gas burning process has deposited on them, How do you diagnose a boiler fault? Check central heating and domestic hot water temperatures, check flow rates, check gas rates, and carry out tightness test if appropriate; plus, check the correct combustion with a flue gas analyser.
It's important to note that chemical inhibitors and magnetic filters are both preventative measures to avoid sludge build up, rather than acting as a cure. While they can both help prevent further problems, neither are capable of removing sludge that's already settled in radiators or pipework
Replacing a kitchen tap is a fairly simple job to complete – you just need to have patience, a manual, and the right tools. Make sure you are extra careful when tightening, well, anything – over-tightening a single nut can lead to damage. Do all bath taps fit all baths? No, not all taps will be a suitable fit for all baths. Typically, your bathroom fittings and fixtures will play a part in dictating which taps can accompany them, in addition to your own personal preference.
How do I know if my central heating pump needs replacing? Can I replace my own immersion heater? It's not recommended to tackle an immersion heater replacement as a DIY job. Incorrect installation can lead to all kinds of problems, from leaks to a malfunctioning unit. These kinds of issues can end up costing you far more in the long run, so it's recommended to call in the professionals in the first place.

How to Troubleshoot Clogs and Leaks! The occasional clog is inevitable in a kitchen sink drain because food and grease are rinsed down these lines daily. In most cases, a clog is easy to remove, although the location of the blockage dictates how you’ll clear it. Leaks are a different matter. Kitchen sinks usually leak at the drain, the water supply lines or the P-trap, but a broken pipe behind the wall may also leave pools of water. Most homeowners can repair the first three leaks themselves, but a damaged pipe should be repaired by a plumber.
What happens when a motorised valve fails? If the valve motor fails, the motorised valve will not open. The valve will not then close the end switch and so will not complete the auxiliary circuit.
